A former industrial open floor plan space situated on the 1^st floor above a tailor’s atelier is converted to a short-stay apartment for the tailor. The idea of the open floor plan is maintained, arranging wet areas, a double bedroom with a frame partition and a study space in such a way as to create a continuous movement between spaces but also allowing for privacy when needed. The apartment receives very little sun during the day due to its orientation, thus a warm tone palette comprising of wooden oak floorings, birch plywood cabinets and light wall tones and textiles was strategically selected with the client.
