How do we inhabit a steep terrain?  Undertaking a cut & fill methodology and following a diagonal trajectory on the topography we configure a series of open air rooms /plateaus that become interlinked via a winding promenade. Each outdoor room bears a different typology in shape and structure: shade areas, seating plateaus or trespass bridges are defined through terraced walls, foliage, river pebble and stone. The winding stepped promenade that connects all of them in one system facilitates uninterrupted access from the house to the rocky coast. The study includes: Reconfiguration of overall outdoor scheme with Canonas SA, Phytotechnical studies, Shading shelter, bespoke detail design for rails, fences, gates, Softscape, Hardscape design additions, Coastal access study and a floating construction jetty.
